My Top 10 Irish Dishes of 2021 #3

#3: Monkfish and broad beans in morel sauce at Suesy Street in Dublin

These sensationally tender, impossibly juicy medallions of grilled monkfish wrapped in crispy Iberico ham were served over firm fresh broad beans and asparagus tips in a creamy morel mushroom sauce.

What a dish! It was that amazing “take a the bite and your eyes roll back in your head” sort of delicious.

Suesy Street was recommended by the manager of the hotel where I was staying in Dublin. The restaurant has an elaborate conservatory space with fresh air vents and windows that fits the COVID outdoor dining protocol. It was a gorgeous room and the service was stellar.

The Kelly family owns Suesy Street, here what they have to say about the place:

Having operated restaurants in Dublin since 2006, the Kelly family has spent the last 14 years dedicated to supporting local suppliers and other small family businesses around the country. Placing an emphasis on seasonality and locality, Suesey Street aims to offer their guests the best in contemporary Irish food

Along with the rest of the Suesey Street team, the Kelly family hopes to showcase that guests too can experience and enjoy their love for seasonal Irish cooking.
